New Music | J. Cole – Cole Summer

Roc Nation’s own J. Cole dropped a new Joint last night titled “Cole Summer”. J. Cole has been on a roll dropping one hit after another and while Cole Summer is not a club banger, it’s definitely a tuff track. Cole let’s us in on his thoughts while flowing over a sampled Laurin Hill “Nothing Even Matters”.

Cole Summer comes as he gets ready to release his EP Yours Truly on May 1st and his sophomore attempt Born Sinner on June 25.

If J.Cole keeps putting out music like this; the weather may be hot but it will definitely be a Cole Summer. You can check it out below.

On Sunday May 19th it’s going down at El Molino’s as Wunda845 Presents The O.M.G. Showcase.

Independent Artist from all over will be given their time to shine. Each artist will be given a 8 minute set in hopes to impress the judges to receive prizes & recognition. The music will be provided by Rockland’s own DJ A-One and the bar will keep the drinks flowing.
The showcase starts at 9pm est but doors open at 8pm est.

The Rewind | Mya – Ridin

I submit Mya’s Ridin for The Rewind. In 1998, At the age of 16 Mya signed a deal with interscope. Mya her self-titled album sold over 1 million copies. Mya’s next two albums did not meet the same success.
In 2007 Mya released her fourth album “Liberation“. Her 1st single Lock You Down featuring Lil Wayne went number 1 and it looked like Mya was back. Ridin quickly followed but due to industry budget cuts it peaked at 58 on the Charts and “Liberation“suffered numerous delays and pushbacks.
Ridin is a dope Record and deserves a second look. [Video Inside]
